Margot (Margeaux) Stewart Burgoon
Founder | Nature Connection Leader | Author

I’m the founder of Courageous Compass and a certified Forest Therapy, Wild Blue, and Nature Connection guide. After navigating several life-changing years—including a breast cancer diagnosis, major transitions, and the deep personal work that followed—I turned to nature as a way to steady myself, reconnect, and rebuild. That experience reshaped the direction of my life and the work I felt called to do.

Today, I lead nature-based healing experiences that help people slow down, listen inward, and rediscover a sense of clarity and resilience. Through Forest Therapy walks, Wild Blue water-based sessions, and Train-the-Trainers programs, I support individuals, caregivers, and communities in creating space for restoration and insight.

As a long-time storyteller and strategist, I bring an organized yet deeply compassionate approach to guiding. I love creating environments where people feel safe, seen, and supported as they move through transitions of their own. My work is grounded in presence, connection, and the belief that nature offers guidance when we are willing to meet it.

My goal—through Courageous Compass and all the experiences I lead—is to help people find their way back to themselves, with nature as a steady, generous companion along the journey.

PS I have been overusing ellipses and em dashes since way before AI and have no plans to stop now.

PS2 Yes, my nickname is longer than my actual name and I like it like that. Feel free to call me Margeaux or Margot, just maybe not Margie.
